Leigh and Erik, September 2005

In January of 2005, Leigh contacted Georgina and said she didn't even know how to begin styling her wedding at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. She knew she wanted to keep it modern and flirty. After spending time at the Museum, Georgina suggested one long table for her guests, punctuated with blocks of color and light. She suggested a bold color palette of red, fuchsia and orange. In response to her initial proposal, Leigh wrote back a simple e-mail: "You're hired!" As Leigh's wedding planner as well, Georgina opted to contract out the actual floral work on the day. She worked with Leigh on other design elements, including personalized menu cards for each place setting in orange and fuchsia, constructing a dupioni silk backdrop for the ceremony, and a unique guest book idea - Museum postcards that would be mailed from Chicago to the couple after the wedding.

Leigh wrote: "Please let me know if you ever need a recommendation letter. We 'ed be happy to share our Flourish Experience. Great job!"

Lori & Jason, February 2006

Georgina and Lori decided on a style that was wintry and elegant, with a color palette of pale to dark blue with shades of cream and white. Ceremony signature botanicals included hydrangea, grape hyacinth, delphinium, orchids and Lori's favorite, lily of the valley. For the reception at the Metropolitan Club high above Chicago in the Sears Tower, the table arrangements reflected the views from the windows and the prevalence of architecture through the use of glass cylinders and submerged blooms.

Lori wrote: " I was absolutely thrilled with the flowers. I have to truly thank you for all of your hard work. Everything was beautiful!!! The wedding was a complete success and the honeymoon was wonderful as well. I really want to thank you for helping me stick with the budget constraints that I had, I feel like you went above and beyond what we paid for! I will make sure to recommend your services to all of my friends. I really wish you the best of luck with your company and your future. Let me know if there is ever anything I can do to help you! Keep in touch and take care!"

She also sent a lovely thank you card with her and Jason on the cover: "Thank you so much for preparing the most beautiful floral arrangements for our wedding! It was such a pleasure to work with you and such a pleasure to see our vision come to life! I know your company will be a wonderful success! Best of luck and take care."

Olivia and Colm, April 2006

Olivia knew one thing about her wedding flowers: they had to include stunning deep purple vanda orchids. As big as your hand, these orchids had to be special ordered from Thailand for her spring wedding. To offset the expense, Georgina worked with her supplier to locate smaller matching purple orchids. The overall style was spring-like and elegant, with a color palette of deep purple with shades of orange and apple green. The signature botanicals included several varietals of orchids and tulips. Olivia's bouquet featured the vanda orchids accented with silver bouquet “jewels.” She tucked one of the huge blooms in her hair.

The reception featured cylinders of varying heights holding submerged spirals of orchids weighted down by a river rocks. Olivia's cake was ornamented with the deep purple vanda orchids on each tier and a silver monogram.

Olivia wrote: "Sorry it took me a while to get back to you- things were a bit hectic last week at work. Thank you so much for all of your help- the flowers were absolutely beautiful, everyone kept talking about how beautiful the centerpieces and bouquets were! We also had a great time working with you."
